Who is eligible for clothes?
TEO has transitioned to a donation/thrifting model for the Clothes Closet. This process will maximize the volunteer time spent at the Clothes Closet, while contributing to the operations of TEO and its programs
All TEO members will continue to shop for clothes at no cost. While no registration is required to shop for clothes during open hours, participating in the food program is a requirement to obtain a monthly allocation. Monthly allocations are provided to TEO members based on family size.
While TEO appreciates the giving nature of our community, we do need to place a few restrictions on donations.
There are two bins outside for drop-offs
Drop off bags are limited to the 13 gallon kitchen size bags.
Large bags or boxes will not fit in the bin.
Glass items should not be put in the bin.
Do not leave anything outside the bin.
TEO is monitored by cameras and we will ask the police for assistance to locate you to come pick your items.
Over the years, items that have been left outside have become unusable which creates a cost to TEO to dispose of the items.
Items donated should be clean and in like new/gently worn condition only. Please ensure that the clothing items are not ripped, stained, or otherwise in need of repair (unless marked recycling only). To help our volunteers, please sort clothes by age/gender/season and mark the bags accordingly. If you have items that are no longer usable please mark the bag “recycling”.
Due to the limited space that TEO has, only small household items and children’s toys are accepted. Items with plugs are not accepted unless new. If you are in doubt, please email us at info@teo-ma.org.
There is a bulletin board on which community members can post items they would like to share that TEO is unable to take.
