Donation Guidelines
We appreciate your generosity! To keep the Clothes Closet running smoothly for everyone, please follow these guidelines when dropping off donations.
- Use the two bins outside for drop-offs
- Use 13-gallon kitchen-size bags only
- Sort clothes by age, gender, and season
- Mark bags accordingly to help volunteers
- Mark unusable items clearly as "recycling"
- Place items securely inside the bin
- No large bags or boxes — they won't fit in the bin
- No glass items in the bin
- Do not leave anything outside the bin
- No ripped, stained, or items needing repair (unless marked recycling)
- No large household items or items with plugs (unless new)
- Items donated should be clean and in like-new or gently worn condition only. Clothing that is ripped, stained, or in need of repair should be marked "recycling" — otherwise please do not donate it.
- Due to limited space, TEO accepts only small household items and children's toys. Items with electrical plugs are not accepted unless they are new and unused. If you're unsure, email us at info@teo-ma.org before dropping off.
⚠️
Please note: TEO is monitored by cameras. Items left outside the bins become unusable and create disposal costs for TEO. If items are left improperly, we may contact you to retrieve them.
📌
Have larger items TEO can't accept? There is a
bulletin board on site where community members can post items they'd like to share. Contact us at
info@teo-ma.org for more information.
